The new expansion pack for Assassin’s Creed: Origins is being released on 13 March. Titled The Curse of the Pharaohs , the content is focused on adding more supernatural and mystical elements to the game, as well as adding more weapons, armour and all that usual jazz.
Being set in ancient Egypt, a lot of this mystical content is centred around mummies. But these are not you usual “shambling around wrapped in cheap toilet roll” mummies, but are instead the surprisingly spry and powerful lich kind. We are promised that they will provide a meaty challenge to even the highest levelled players out there. Players will also be exploring the secrets of locations such as the Valley of the Kings and the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.
To compensate for the added difficulty, the level cap is also being raised to 55, which is sure to excite all those 100% completionists out there. The game also takes place four years after the main Assassin’s: Creed Origins campaign concludes, so if you want to see what happens to Bayek after all that murder, check The Curse of the Pharaohs out (spoiler: he kills mummies). Check out the newly released trailer below for more information.
