Yesterday, it was announced that RetroWorld Expo, a retro videogame and collectibles convention, will be held on September 8 and 9 this year.
The Expo will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT. The event runs from 10am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. Saturday will also have an after party event, though location and times for that have not been announced yet.
Although there is not much specific information for what will be in store for visitors to the con yet, the Facebook Event for the con promises merchandise, industry and YouTube guests, retro gaming, cosplay, live music, an arcade and pinball room, gaming tournaments, tabletop gaming, and new indie games. Previous years have also included a videogame auction that tends to attract some pretty rare items.
RWX is hosted by Retro Games Plus, a videogame and collectibles store chain with locations in Norwalk, Orange, and Newington, Connecticut, and one location that will be opening in Huntington Beach, California, soon.
