Netflix has revealed that Season 3 of their hit show, Stranger Things, has begun shooting and have revealed some of the details from the upcoming season.

It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were elbow deep into the worm holes of Hawkins, yet here we are already discussing the next season. After the events of the second season it’s difficult to see where the show will go from here, but it looks like Netflix has some plans.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter executive producer Shawn Levy revealed that the third season would be set within the Summer of 1985 and there’s love in the air as Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink), will all be together at the start of the season.

For those who are a fan of “Dad Steve” we’ll also be getting a lot more of that dynamic too as Levy revealed that there’ll be plenty of Steve Harrington to go around.

“We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve,” he said.

As for pop culture, apparently there’ll be plenty of references to Back to the Future in the third season, which is pretty neat.

There’s currently no date set for the third season, however it’s been previously stated that the show will take a bit of time to get to Netflix.
