Bandai Namco has today announced that Dark Souls Remastered will be slightly delayed on Nintendo Switch.
Dark Souls Remastered marks the first time the Dark Souls series will be on Nintendo Switch so you can see why people are pretty excited for the game to come, however they might have some waiting to do.
Bandai Namco has today announced that the previous release date of May 25 for the Nintendo Switch will no longer stand as the game is being delayed until ” this summer”. Additionally, the Solaire of Astora amiibo will also be delayed until this time. Because there’s no point having an amiibo for a game you can’t play yet.
The publisher didn’t give a reason for the delay, however Bandai Namco UK replied to a Twitter user saying:
The new release timing gives the dev team the time needed to make sure Nintendo Switch players can fully appreciate the true DARK SOULS experience anytime and anywhere, thanks to the unique portable nature of the Nintendo Switch console.

Though it’s just as vague as the press release.
Either way, Dark Souls Remastered will still be launching on PS4 and Xbox One on May 25.
