In honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first Jurassic Park movie, LEGO has released a new set immortalizing some key scenes from the first film.
The set is known as the “Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase” (item number 75932), and includes small-scale versions of the kitchen, the control room, and the lab. Minifigures included are Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, Lex Murphy, and Tim Murphy; there will also be one raptor included in order to properly terrorize them.
The set is fairly detailed for its size, including everything from dino embryos and the (unlabeled) shaving cream can to Lex’s infamous dessert choice (green jello). Altogether it contains 360 pieces of nostalgic, human-terrorizing fun.
Simultaneously, LEGO has released a few sets for the upcoming installment in the series, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. One is “T. Rex Transport” (item number 75933), which has a tyrannosaurus rex, what appears to be a compsognathus, a truck and its containment/transporter unit for the rex, a mobile lab unit, and three minifigures. Another set is the “Dilophosaur Outpost Attack” (item number 75931), which includes a containment gate with lookout tower and crane, a dilophosaur, its baby, an egg, and three minifigures.
LEGO has also put out a Brickheadz set, “Owen & Blue” (item number 41614), which is exactly what it sounds like: a set that consists of cute, stylized versions of human character Owen and raptor character Blue, both of whom we first saw in Jurassic World.
All of these sets are available at LEGO’s website, as well as at physical retail stores. Watch out, though–“Velociraptor Chase” is only available online or at Wal Mart.
