Digital Extremes have announced the debut of the first Warframe for 2018 along with a brand new game mode, Sanctuary Onslaught, that’ll arrive as part of the Beasts of the Sanctuary update.
The Beasts of the Sanctuary update for Warframe will introduce Khora a Warframe offering a mix of both offensive and defensive power with a unique arsenal of attacks.
“The stylistically armor-clad Khora wields a snake-like metallic whip that strikes from a distance and commands a metallic Kavat (cat pet) that quickly engulfs enemies in a whirlwind of pain.”
As for the Sanctuary Onslaught mode, in which Khora features, allows players to dive into the mix, both alone or with three other friends, dashing through timed portals while taking down increasingly powerful waves of enemies. Both Khora and Sanctuary Onslaught are free with the Beasts of the Sanctuary update.
Here are a few more details on Khora and her abilities:
- Whipclaw: Send enemies reeling with a deafening whipcrack.
- Ensnare: Bind a hapless target in living metal, entangling others who stray too close. Disperse the trap with a crack of the whip.
- Venari: Summon a ferocious, gleaming Kavat. Use again to cycle between Attack, Protect, and Heal postures.
- Strangledome: Weave a dome of living chain that ensnares and strangles any enemy within, and any foolish enough to approach.
As for when players can get a hold of Khora and the Sanctary Onslaught mode, PC players will have the Beasts of the Sanctuary update this week with console players having to wait until May.
In other Warframe news, Digital Extremes are inviting players along to the annual TennoCon on July 7 which will have players from across the world to celebrate the game. Tickets are selling fast, so head to the game’s website to grab your own. TennoCon takes place at the London Convention Centre in Ontario, Canada.
