Metalhead Software has this week announced that their upcoming sequel Super Mega Baseball 2 will hit Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam on May 1.
Following on from the critically acclaimed Super Mega Baseball, Super Mega Baseball 2 will come with a whole host of new content including new visuals, new character models, team customisation, and online multiplayer modes.
The first title achieved a pretty impressive score of 85 on Metacritic, and even we thoroughly enjoyed the game, despite not being huge baseball fans, so we’re pretty pumped for the new game.
In addition to all mentioned above, Super Mega Baseball 2 will come with eight brand new stadiums built from the ground up, new competitive and co-op modes, as well as cross-platform play between PC and Xbox, and PC and PS4. Players will also find refined baseball simulation with more realistic play outcomes. Finally, the game has been optimised for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.
A brand new trailer has also been released giving the low-down on some of the game’s new gameplay mechanics, so check it out:
