HB Games has decided to ditch the numbering sequence to their acclaimed golf simulator, The Golf Club, as the next entry in the series will be titled The Golf Club 2019. In addition, it seems they’ve managed to snap up the PGA Tour license from EA Games.
The Golf Club 2019 is the next addition to The Golf Club series and is set to come with even more customisation options from character creation, course creation, and of course, Club creation. One major addition this year however comes in the form of The PGA Tour license.
What this means for the game is that at launch in August, the game will include licensed courses for the first time in the game’s history. Specifically the FedExCup and six licensed courses, among other things.
The courses that’ll be coming to the game include Summerlin, Scottsdale, Sawgrass, Southwind, Deere Run, and Boston. What’s more, the announcement also revealed that more licensed courses will be added in the future. The Tour will also include the added challenge of sponsorship goals and Tour rivalries.
One thing the game won’t contain however is licensed golfers as the title will continue to focus on its in-depth customisation options.
It looks like there’s plenty in store with The Golf Club in the future and that’s a pretty exciting prospect for fans of the game and HB Games themselves.
