For those of you still playing God of War, and there should be a lot of you, you know that Sony Santa Monica has been all over updates. It seems like the games receives a patch almost daily, which isn’t a bad thing. While they’re still working on the tiny text problem, Santa Monica has been nice enough to lay out their plan for updates moving forward with the game.
The studio’s support update touches on some of the changes they intend to bring to the game in upcoming patches. The previously announced Photo Mode is still in the works, though personally I think it would be weird as fuck to see Kratos smile, and there is a “global increase to text size in all menus and subtitles” planned as well. The latter will likely replace the update that dropped a few days ago that gave players the option to scale the size of text in the Maps, Goals, Codex, and Resources tabs.
Obviously the studio is still working on a few bug fixes as well; especially the one that some players are having when starting a new game.
“We are continuing to investigate an issue where selecting the ‘New Game’ option from the main menu without closing down the application first may result in missing dialogue and possible progression blockers. To avoid this in the meantime, please close down the application before starting a new playthrough.”
Thankfully, any and all issues with God of War have been minor, except for that new game one. Regardless the game is still an incredible experience and should be played by everyone.
A rollout date for the patches has yet to be announced, but when they are n3rdabl3 will be on it. If you have yet to read our review, you can check it out here, as well as the fact that God of War has become the fastest selling title on the PlayStation 4 to date!
