As promised, Bethesda has released the first gameplay footage for RAGE 2, and you know what? It doesn’t look half bad.
Let’s be real, no one asked for a RAGE sequel. Not to say that I’m complaining that there’ll be a new one, but its not one of those games that’s ever really come up in conversation. That being said, this first look at the gameplay makes me think it has potential to be the sequel we didn’t think we needed.
id Software has teamed up with Avalanche Studios to bring us RAGE 2. We have a company that is known for their shooters and a company that’s known for their fun, open world, sandbox environments. On paper it seems like a no brainer, but how this translates into a full game will remain to be seen until Sunday June 10, 6pm PST when Bethesda shows off brand new gameplay during their E3 2018 spot.
From the little promotion Bethesda has done so far, thanks to the Walmart leak (fucking Canada), it looks like this is a game meant to not take itself seriously. Again, not to say that’s a bad thing, we just don’t know enough yet and its a very random announcement. I don’t think anyone was going into this year thinking “God, I hope they announce RAGE 2 this year!”
Apprehension aside, from this minute and a half trailer it looks like returning to the wasteland will be a bloody good time. Check it out for yourself along with some sweet screenshots and let us know what you think in the comments below!
Rage 2 is set to release sometime in 2019.
