On Saturday, May 19, from 8-11 PM, Retro Games Plus will be hosting the latest ConnGo Trade Night event at their Orange, Connecticut location.
ConnGo is an event that welcomes videogame and collectibles fans of all types to browse not only Retro Games Plus stock, but also the wares of other fans. The event is essentially a free-to-attend flea market that allows people with items to sell to set up shop at no additional fee. Videogames, toys, LEGOs, collectibles, and anything else related to pop culture are all items that the store welcomes for this event. Shareable snacks are also encouraged, though we would recommend avoiding snacks that may leave a residue behind on hands, like chips or Doritos, or snacks that could potentially make other messes that could damage goods. The Facebook event page recommends baked goods.
The store itself offers 15% off everything in the store during trade night. Although it has not been confirmed, the event page says that there may be videogame raffles, tournaments, and competitions held throughout the night as well. There may also be live music during the event.
Finally, there are some things to note if you do plan on attending as a vendor. Management requests that tables no bigger that your average card table (36 inches/3 feet) are brought for items; this rule will be enforced. Vendors also cannot set up before 8 PM. Kids are also welcome to attend this event, so that may be something to keep in mind when gathering items to sell or trade.
