Sunset Overdrive, now there’s a game I haven’t heard about in some time but hear it, and hear it good, because it looks like it might be making a comeback.
According to a listing over on the Korean Ratings Board, Sunset Overdrive has been rated for PC. Does that mean that Sunset Overdrive, Microsoft and Insomniac Games’ free-running light-hearted post-apocalyptic adventure game might be coming to PC? Well, it’s quite possible, as the studio has always been open to bringing the game to PC.
The last we heard about a PC port was when Microsoft accidentally ran an ad which stated that the game would be coming to PC. Before that, Insomniac Games have expressed that they would love to bring the game to PC but Microsoft seemed to be putting a hold on the whole ordeal. Both of these happened back in 2016.
Fast forward to 2018 and Microsoft has a new-found love for PC gaming, and with their Play Anywhere initiative being quite the success and its Xbox Game Pass being a thing, it would seem highly likely that Sunset Overdrive would be making its way to PC / Windows 10.
Of course, this is all speculation at the moment as the rating could mean absolutely nothing, but there’s a glimmer of hope that Microsoft could announce the game’s PC port at E3 2018.
