God of War is once again at the top of the UK Gaming Charts, the fifth time in a row since it launched earlier this year and at this point you’re probably not surprised.
God of War is now one more number one away from equalling the record set by The Last of Us back in 2013. Though it might not be so easy as next week we see the launch of another Sony first-party title, Detroid: Become Human, as well as Dark Souls Remastered, and Microsoft’s State of Decay 2.
Only one new title landed in the top ten this week and that’s the re-release of Hyrule Warriors for the Nintendo Switch. It’s the second biggest launch for the title since it launched back on the Wii U in 2014 and the Nintendo 3DS in March 2016.
Speaking of Switch releases, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze falls to fourth place but it’s still doing pretty strong.
FIFA 18 climbs to number two this week thanks to retailer promotions which saw sales increase by 89% week-on-week.
As for other new releases, Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux which launched on 3DS last week lands in thirty-first place, followed by the re-release of Dragon’s Crown, Dragon’s Crown Pro, which lands in thirty-third.
