God of War has finally lost its crown in the UK Gaming Charts thanks to a number of new releases this week including Sony’s latest first-party title, Detroit: Become Human.
God of War was set to hit its sixth number one this week however it was pushed down to fourth thanks to three new releases this week. In first place we have Detroit: Become Human giving Sony its tenth number 1 debut in terms of exclusive titles.
Elsewhere, despite the fairly lukewarm reviews, State of Decay 2 lands in second place following the re-release of Dark Souls, Dark Souls Remastered. As for God of War, it’s fallen quite drastically from the top spot to fifth place behind FIFA 18 which continues to receive retailer promotions ahead of the World Cup this summer.
Overwatch reenters the charts in seventh place thanks to the new Game of the Year Edition, largely thanks to retailers dropping the game’s price to around £15.
Finally the only other new release failed to break into the top ten, Space Hulk Deathwing, which lands in nineteenth place.
