Fallout 76 has been shrouded in mystery and speculation since the teaser first came out. Tonight though, during Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference, all the big questions were answered.
Set in West Virginia, Fallout 76 has all the familiar mechanics from Fallout 4 and other past entries to the series like base building, combat, quests and exploration. But what’s going to make it different?
Fallout 76 is going to be an online game. If you’ve ever turned to your friend and talked about how sweet it would be to take down a Deathclaw together, or walk the wasteland, you’ll finally get a chance to do that in this new prequel. If that’s not your thing though, there is going to be an option to play single player!
The game will feature many aspects such as group quests, base building, and raids which will essentially let players launch nuclear missiles at other players’ bases.
While Fallout 76 might feel like a regular fallout game, the state of the world itself will look unlike anything we’ve seen before since it’s set way earlier than any of the other additions to the series.
And probably the best news of the entire Fallout portion of the conference?
It’s coming out November 14 2018! A beta for the game is also expected to launch ahead of the game’s release.
