As I’m sure some of you Crash fans predicted, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is getting yet another level added to the game at the end of this month.
Instead of being a “lost level” like the previous Stormy Ascent was, this level has been designed from the ground up by Vicarious Visions, making it the first brand new stage for Crash!
Activision has confirmed that Future Tense will be added to every version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy in just a few weeks. The trailer below shows snips from the new level including Crash traversing conveyor belts, hurdling enemies and dodging lasers.
The level will be included in the Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch versions of the trilogy when they’re released on June 29, and will be added to the PlayStation 4 version with a free update. Because free shit is ALWAYS better. Stormy Ascent will also be free and included or available with all versions of the game.
Jennifer Oneal, Studio Head at Vicarious Visions stated that “Adding a new level to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was something we always wanted to do, and introducing Future Tense allows us to give all Crash players something new to play just in time for the multi-platform release.”
“We hope Future Tense will allow players to re-experience that feeling from the good ‘ol days when they first cracked open a Crash Bandicoot game and had to figure out how to get past a brand-new challenge, or find that one last crate. And frankly, Crash Bandicoot levels are fun to make!” said Future Tense level designers Ben Dorsey and Stephen Ivanauskas.
