Devil May Cry 5, officially announced at E3 2018, is set for a March 31 release date. Judging by how quickly development is progressing on it, they’re likely to hit that date. Reported by WCCF Tech, Capcom has informed Japan’s Famitsu magazine that the games development is already 75 percent done.
In the same Famitsu interview, Capcom also stated that protaganists Nero and Dante will be facing their strongest foe yet, with the story focusing on “something mysterious” happening in the demon world. Nero will be on a quest to recover something that he’s lost. If I would speculate, he probably wants to grab the Devil Bringer back from whoever cut it off. (Spoilers, it was probably Vergil.)
Seeing as Devil May Cry 5 was rumoured to be in the works long before it’s eventual E3 2018 reveal, it’s no surprise that the game is mostly complete.
Devil May Cry 5 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
