Fallout Shelter, Bethesda’s first foray into atomic age mobile gaming, is coming to the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch – tonight! It can be downloaded via the system’s respective online stores, for free.
The popular community simulator, in which you develop and grow your very own Vault-Tec underground nuclear shelter, is just a small slice of Fallout news we’ve gotten early on in E3. With Fallout 76 coming in November, and numerous other titles in the works, perhaps tapping away at your little lab-rat-vaultdwellers can stave off hunger pangs for full blown Fallout content, for the time being.
Over 120 million players have downloaded the mobile app – more downloads than purchases of all other Bethesda’s games combined – making Fallout Shelter the company’s most successful game to date.
Considering the company’s plans for three new full titles for Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and a brand-new IP Starfield, it’s safe to say all your well-spent caps are going towards some less-cramped worlds. Not that there’s anything wrong with living in a vault… until the Deathclaws break in.
