Capcom announced more news to do with Mega Man 11 this week, mostly about how the release will take place in Europe.

Confirmed via The Nintendo Channel, Mega Man 11 will only be receiving a digital release in the UK and Europe. This announcement also could lead to Europe not getting a new Mega Man 11 inspired amiibo. With North America receiving both, and even having them stuck in a bundle, it does come as a slight kick in the teeth to European fans.

As the Blue Bomber has somewhat of a cult status, it’s not hard pushed to think that many fans would want to display their amiibo right next to their physical copy of the game.

As Mega Man 11 is set to release October 2, this comes as a bittersweet announcement for European fans who were excited that we’d be getting a physical copy of a new Mega Man game. Thankfully the Nintendo Switch isn’t region locked, so you could theoretically order a bundle over from North America, at a premium.

What do you guys think? If you’re European, will this make you reconsider a purchase or would you risk an overseas purchase? Let us know in the comments below!
