Hi-Rez Studios hero shooter Paladins will be coming to Nintendo Switch on June 12. Along with a release date, the developers have also announced that the Switch version will run at a silky smooth 60 frames per second and will also support cross-play with the Xbox One version of Paladins, but not the PS4 version.
Costing a mere $29.99, Paladins for Switch will include all current champions, as well as all future champions and exclusive cosmetic items. If $29.99 is too much for you, or you want to try before you buy, there’ll also be a free-to-play version releasing in summer, though Hi-Rez haven’t announced a date as of yet.
Paladins launched in 2016 via early access on Steam. A hero shooter in the same vein as Overwatch, Paladins features 36 playable champions and bases it’s loadout system around cards. It was officially released on Playstation 4, Xbox One and out of early access on Steam earlier this year.
This news also comes hot on the heels of the spinoff Battle Royale mode that Hi-Rez released this week on Steam titled, Realm Royale. Will we be seeing this release on consoles in the near future? It’s probably a safe bet.
