Pokémon Quest launched on the Nintendo Switch last week, and in just one day amassed over one million downloads.
Is anyone surprised by this news though, really? Pokémon, one of the most popular franchises for Nintendo’s consoles, and Nintendo’s latest console The Nintendo Switch. It’s a match made in heaven and despite not being a part of the main series, Pokémon Quest is proving that players want a proper Pokémon game on the Switch.

Pokémon Quest launched on the Switch as soon as it was announced during a Japanese Pokémon livestream. It’s a “free to start” title where players explore a cube island collecting cube Pokémon, and create cube teams. There are a lot of cubes.
The game is also expected to launch on iOS and Android at a later date.
In other Pokémon news, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company also announced two new games, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! as well as revealing that the next main entry into the series will be landing on the Nintendo Switch in 2019.
