According to Bloomberg, PUBG Corp. has dropped its legal case against Epic Games. After a few months of legal battling, of which many ridiculed, it has all come to an end with neither party seemingly coming away worse or better off.
No explanation was given for the sudden drop, despite being contacted by several publications. We’re currently unsure whether it was just ditched or whether a settlement was made out of court.
It makes sense though considering Chinese company Tencent owns a part of both companies. Perhaps Tencent acted as the more mature adult in this situation telling the two to shut up, sit down, and eat their vegetables.
Also, suing a company because they copied a game mode is pretty ridiculous.
