Rockstar has announced that there will be several versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 to players to purchase, and even more rewards for those who pre-order the upcoming title.
Earlier this week Rockstar revealed that it’ll be incredibly difficult to decide which version of Red Dead Redemption 2 to purchase, from several different pre-order bonuses, several console exclusives, and more, you’re going to either have to break the bank, or just settle on one option.
For all players who pre-order the game, they’ll be rewarded with two Story Mode “enhancements” titled War Horse and The Outlaw Survival Kit. War Horse will give players a “handsome iron-grey-colored Ardennes War Horse”. As for The Outlaw Survival Kit, players will receive items to replenish health, Dead Eye, and more.
For those who decide to pre-order the game digitally on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, they’ll receive some additional content including a Cash Bonus for Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode and a Treasure Map.
As for the game’s Special Edition, players will receive the above bonuses as well as the Bank Robbery Mission and Gang Hideout in Story Mode, another horse, specifically the Dappled Black Thoroughbred. They’ll also get the Talisman and Medallion Gameplay Bonuses as well as Gameplay Boosts, Cash Bonuses & Discounts.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 Special Edition also offers The Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit and free access to the Volcanic Pistol, Pump Action Shotgun, and the Lancaster Varmint Rifle. Finally, a physical map will also be offered in the Special Edition.
As for the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 players will receive all the above as well as a handful of bonus outfits for players’ online character, including The Blackrose Bounty Hunter Outfit and The Copperhead Enforcer Outfit. Another horse will also be available, the Black Chestnut Thoroughbred along with the High Plains Cutting Saddle. Both horse and saddle can be used online.
Players will also gain free access to the Survivor Camp Theme for customising their personal camps in the game’s online mode. They’ll also receive the above guns in the game’s online mode as well as a rank bonus up to 25.
Finally, the game’s massive Collector’s Box, available at select retailers, will offer the ultimate Red Dead fan everything they could possibly want to clutter up their homes – aside from the actual game itself… that’s sold separately.
So what’s available? Well players get a Metal Tithing Box with Lock & Key, a collectable challenge coin, a double sided puzzle, a six shooter bandana, a treasure map, a set of pins, some playing cards, a Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue, and finally a pack of 12 cigarette cards.
So there you have it, there’s plenty of ways for players to fill their Red Dead Redemption 2 boots, they’ve just got to decide which one they want.
