While Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-Tered (again, kill me) is only a few days away from it’s official release, we’ve been treated to a little early look at the gameplay by Gamespot. Releasing on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the remaster looks prettier and runs a tonne smoother than the original release does, granted it’s been 9 years since the release.
The Re-Mars-Ter (please send help, they have my family) focusing on improving the original releases visuals. There’s new textures, shadow rendering and lighting, to name but a few of the improvements. 4K support is also being added in and the games framerate no longer chugs when the action heats up.
Known for it’s free form physic friendly destruction (try saying that 10 times), where you spend most of your time trashing the environments with explosives, vehicles and of course, the iconic sledgehammer. Through improvements to the framerate and graphically, you’re set to have even more fun while you’re blowing up your own little crater on Mars.
Releasing July 3, Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-Tered will be a free upgrade if you already own the original, but will cost $30 for new purchases.
