Wreckfest, Bugbear’s spiritual successor to the FlatOut franchise is finally fully launching after an incredibly long stint in Early Access.
I remember when Bugbear’s “Next Car Game” launched on Early Access and was essentially a bare bones tech demo. This was way back in 2014 and since then the game has been developed into Wreckfest a FlatOut / Destruction Derby successor which hopes to bring top notch smashes and crashes to a new generation.
This week Bugbear announced that they’ve reached the final stretch and are set to launch Wreckfest on PC on July 14 followed by its console release on November 20. When the game finally launches out of Early Access the game will offer a new set of features such as a Challenge Mode as well as even more customisation options.
The game is set to feature an array of cars from old lemons, to more classic American, European, and Asian cars which can be taken to the roads across the game’s online multiplayer modes.
It’s been a long time coming, and after the colossal failure that was the latest FlatOut game, all eyes are on Bugbear to bring crashes, smashes, and destruction back to its prime with Wreckfest.
