Holy shit!

Seemingly out of nowhere Motion Twin has announced that their Steam indie-hit Dead Cells will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Linux, and the Nintendo Switch on August 7 for the steal of a deal price of $24.99!

Motion Twin released a trailer to announce… the announcement? The trailer showcases a ton of new hack-n-slash action along with a peek at the new and improved upgrade system. This incredible Metroidvania-style game is available for pre-order NOW across all consoles, except for the Switch. Those looking to pre-order the game will need to wait until July 18.

On top of all of this good news, those that pre-order Dead Cells through a console will receive a limited time 20% discount! For those of you bad at math, that means if you pre-order you will get the game for $19.99 instead of $24.99! This discount ends the day of launch so grab it while it’s hot.

Dead Cells initially launched in Early Access on PC back in May of 2017, and has since already sold almost 1 MILLION copies! Since it’s launch on Steam the game has changed significantly since it released, so it will be exciting to see what the “finished product” looks like.

Motion Twin promises to give players some of “the best of roguelite replay-ability and Metroidvania style permanent upgrades” on the market right now.  Dead Cells will feature action-packed content sprawling across 13 levels. It will have 4 bosses and over 80 weapons and skills, four special powers and a Daily Run Mode (PC exclusive) with leaderboards at launch.

The wait for this incredible love letter to the Metroidvania genre is almost over. Be sure to check back with us here at n3rdabl3 for the official review when the title releases on all platforms August 7! In the meantime, why not take a look at our preview.
