In what’ll come as no surprise to anyone, Digimon Survive is set to get a Western release. It’s great to actually get an official confirmation, though, considering the fact we’ve had more than a few Digimon games drop in the West over the past years, Digimon Survive was a safe shout for English fans.
Announced for Japan earlier this month, Digimon Survive is seemingly set to blend visual novel style story-telling, with meaningful decisions causing variations in the story and gameplay, and RPG combat, seemingly looking to be balancing on a pseudo-Disgaea style of things, instead of the style they took with the Cyber-Sleuth series.
Set to drop sometime in 2019 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original TV show (well now I feel old), Digimon Survive is set to bring players a brand-new adventure in a mysterious world.
Digimon Survive will introduce players to a brand new group, led by Takuma Momozuka, who get lost on a school camping trip. Naturally, they find themselves transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger.
Further information is set to be revealed soon. Digimon Survive will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2019.
