Fallout 76 players who are lower than Level 5 will be safe from PvP events, Bethesda’s Todd Howard has revealed.
Speaking with Multiplayer.it, Howard was asked how Bethesda were going to prevent newer players emerging from the Vault from being trolled by higher-level players. One of the ways the company plans to do this is by having players who are Level 4 or lower immune from PvP events.
“There are several tricks we are implementing to prevent the other players from doing exactly the things you describe. For example, at the moment you can not kill a player until he reaches level 5.”
That’s a pretty fantastic way to deal with those who will undoubtedly try and pop-off unsuspecting new spawns, something that has plagued several multiplayer PvP titles. It is worth mentioning that this could indeed change before Fallout 76 launches later this year.
In addition, Howard revealed that fast-travel will also be coming to the game which will no doubt be a much better way from getting from A to B without being bothered by other players.
Recently, Bethesda detailed the game’s base building with the new C.A.M.P. mechanic which allows players to pack up and move their settlements on the fly.
Fallout 76 is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on November 16.
