Blizzard has announced that Overwatch on PC will be free this weekend for all players to download and play, which is a good thing as Wrecking Ball is set to crash into the game later this week.

Wrecking Ball, also known as Hammond, is the latest hero to join the Overwatch roster and will be available to everyone today, so it makes sense that Blizzard would give all players the chance to give him a… spin?

Starting Thursday, July 26 at 11 am PDT, the free-play weekend will give PC players access to the full game until July 30 at 11:59 pm PDT. Players who do play in the free weekend will also be able to purchase the game and keep their progress – usually, the game gets discounted too.

Blizzard recently detailed a number of changes possibly coming to a handful of Overwatch‘s support characters, you can find details here.
