Konami has announced that the PC and console demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 will be dropping on August 8. This should please the PC fans (if they exist), as for the 2018 edition of the game, the PC demo was delayed until September. Hopefully, Aaron downloads the demo, so I can give him a good thrashing like I did when we played PES 2018.

The PES 2019 demo is set to include twelve teams and two stadiums, which will be playable in offline exhibition matches as well as, for the first time this year, Online Quick Match, meaning fans will be able to test their skills against opponents from around the world, not just against the AI.

To celebrate the announcement, Konami has released a new gameplay trailer for Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. The new additions this year are Magic Moments and an improved MyClub mode. Magic Moments is supposed to make players feel unique, with it adding eleven new skill traits to make them feel less like mindless drones.

Judging from the Club badges at the end of the trailer, we’ll be getting the following 12 teams:

  • Barcelona
  • Schalke
  • Liverpool
  • Inter Milan
  • AC Milan
  • Monaco
  • São Paulo
  • Flamengo
  • Palmeiras
  • Colo-Colo
  • Argentina
  • France

With the listed teams, we’ll be treated to a wide array of teams, ranging from club level to international. Seeing actual team names is still weird to me. Liverpool will always be Merseyside Red!

Unfortunately for PC fans, we’re yet to have any details on the system specs. but with Pro Evolution Soccer 2019’s demo just around the corner, it can’t be far off.

Will 2019 be the year that Pro Evolution Soccer takes the title from FIFA? Probably not considering Konami lost the Champions League licence to EA, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
