Sea of Thieves‘ weekly update has arrived and with it comes a brand new figurehead to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rare’s most famed title, Banjo-Kazooie.
Of course, this is Sea of Thieves after all, so don’t expect the figurehead to be a portly bear and a gormless looking bird, oh no, this figurehead is a bad-ass angry-looking bear holding a rather dashing shield with a phoenix decoration.
The figurehead, aptly titled The Bird and Bear Figurehead won’t cost an arm and a leg either. Coming to the game for a limited time, the figurehead will cost just 1,998. Yep, 1998, the year Banjo-Kazooie first hit Nintendo 64.
Sea of Thieves is currently nearing the end of its Gunpowder Skeletons event so new content in this week’s update is pretty sparse. There are however a few little improvements such as the ship swaying when hit by cannonballs, as well as a number of bug fixes.
Next week’s update will see the arrival of The Sunken Curse, the third Bilge Rat Adventure. Later this month players will also see the arrival of the second major update, Cursed Sails, which will see the arrival of a new ship, a ghost ship threat, and much more.
