Netflix has confirmed that the third season of Daredevil is set to land on the streaming service later this year.
This news accompanies that of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist who are all also getting new seasons on Netflix at some point this year. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have both received their second seasons, and Iron Fist‘s second season is expected this fall, so by that logic, surely Daredevil‘s third season is expected by Christmas?
Daredevil‘s third season was announced by Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, who revealed during an earnings call that the show would be arriving before the year is out.
“In the short term, we’ve got new seasons coming up, in the second half of this year, of Orange is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series to Making a Murderer,” Sarandos said.
The only Marvel show which doesn’t seem to be getting a season this year, however, is The Punisher. A second season has been ordered by Netflix, but we have no indication of when it’ll arrive.
