DOOM Eternal received its first gameplay reveal at QuakeCon this weekend, and it’s a lot of what you’d expect from a DOOM title.
As you might expect, DOOM Eternal is much like the DOOM reboot from 2016 but turned up to 10,000. From the gameplay reveal we see much more fluid animations and visuals that are to die for.
There are also, of course, plenty of exploding demons, incredibly gruesome take-downs, and fast-paced movement that you’d expect from a DOOM title, and honestly, that’s not a bad thing.
The game was officially unveiled at E3 2018 with a short teaser, so this is our first real look at the game in action. The game, according to Bethesda, brings Hell on Earth for the first time seeing the world as we know it overrun with hell-like infestations and demons. Futuristic locations like Mars’ moon Phobos will also be in the game.
Bethesda also revealed some other details about the game, such as how players will be able to possess a demon and “invade” other players’ single-player campaigns, and how DOOM Slayer will come with new weapons and an upgraded design. Demons can also be chopped up into little pieces if that’s also your thing.
