Fortnite Battle Royale has finally arrived on Android in beta, however, it comes with a catch, right now it’s exclusive to Samsung devices.

As previously rumored in our piece on Fortnite ditching Google Play on Android, Epic Games announced the Fortnite Beta for Android during Samsung’s Unpacked event for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9/Galaxy Tab 4. What’s more, the Fortnite Beta will only be available for compatible Samsung Galaxy devices.

Compatible devices are:

  • Galaxy S7
  • S7 Edge
  • S8 / S8+
  • S9 / S9+
  • Note 8
  • Note 9
  • Tab S3
  • Tab S4

Those who purchase the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 9/Galaxy Tab 4 will also be able to gain access to an exclusive Galaxy outfit in the game.

The good news about the exclusivity is that it’ll likely only last a few days as Epic Games are encouraging other Android users to head to the game’s website to sign up. The roll-out to other devices is expected to begin within the next few days, says Epic Games.

Fortnite Battle Royale will also avoid the Google Play Store with the game only available to download via Fortnite.com. The Android version features cross-play and cross-progression with PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and iOS.
