DICE has revealed that the open beta for Battlefield 5 will begin on September 4 for pre-orders or Origin/EA Access subscribers and September 6 for everyone else.
The open beta will take place across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Origin. The beta will feature the game’s Rotterdam map on Conquest and the Arctic Fjord map on both Grand Operations and Conquest. Yep, Grand Operations is coming to the beta.
Grand Operations is Battlefield’s relatively new mode which has players taking part in battles across a series of maps and modes all of which play a part in an overarching narrative inspired by history. These modes were first introduced in Battlefield 1 and it’s good news they’re back for Battlefield 5.
If you’re looking to get into the Battlefield 5 beta a few days early, now is a good time to either pre-order the game or sign up to Origin Access Premier, Origin Access Basic, or EA Access on Xbox One.
Battlefield 5 launches on October 19 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game will be granted early access to the title on October 11.
