GT Sport has received a brand new update which introduces microtransactions into the game allowing players to spend real cash on in-game vehicles.
If you’ve ever wanted to buy a top of the range sports car, but have never had the money, well GT Sport will hopefully make that dream come true. Thanks to a brand new update, you can finally buy the car of your dreams for a fraction of the price of its real-world counterpart.
With this update, any car which costs less than 2,000,000 in-game currency can be purchased with real cash outright, saving you hours grinding the money for your dream car. Lovely.
This isn’t the first Gran Turismo game to feature microtransactions, however, Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi previously stated that the team took this into account during development and decided not to include them in the game. I guess the team changed their mind.
The update also introduced a handful of new cars too, which is nice, I guess. A trailer detailing the new update is below.
