Steamforged Games has announced that a new Horizon Zero Dawn game is in the works, but this time it’s a tabletop game that’ll be heading to Kickstarter soon.
Details on what’s involved with the board game are pretty thin as Steamforge have really only announced that the game will be coming to the crowdfunding platform in the coming months. The blog post does, however, show some renders of some of the game’s miniatures including Aloy and one of the game’s robodinos, The Scrapper.
“As huge Horizon Zero Dawn fans, we could not be more excited to be given the honor of developing a board game which will allow fans to explore this incredible world in a new and unique way,” said Mat Hart, Creative Director and Co-founder of Steamforged Games.
“Horizon Zero Dawn represents an incredible achievement in the videogame world and a much-beloved universe for fans all over the world. Many of the staff at Steamforged have been in love with Horizon Zero Dawn since it was first released, and so have an intimate understanding of what makes it so appealing and enthralling. With this game, we’re going to give players a compelling new way to play and experience this amazing video game.”
Details of how much the campaign will be looking to fund is currently unknown, though given how popular their previous campaigns were for games like Dark Souls, at this point I don’t think it’d even matter.
