Gamescom 2018: Just Cause 4 Trailer Shows Storm Chasing in Action

Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for Just Cause 4 showing the game’s tornado physics in action.

Yes, I just wrote tornado physics… Anyway, in this new trailer for Just Cause 4, we get a look at a tornado and the destruction it leaves in its wake. According to Omar Shakir, the Narrative Director of the game, who’s fittingly narrating the video, the game is accurately calculating the trajectory of the spiraling objects in real time. All of this is made possible thanks to the game’s new Apex engine.

In addition, we get a look at some of the new things coming to the game, from the Rail Gun which can also fart out a drone, which in itself can be used as a grapple point and help thrust Rico in the air.

There are also some new features coming to the grapple including the ability to fire multiple boosters and airlifters to any object in the game. So maybe we can shoot cows in the air at a distance this time?
