Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty, has signed a deal with Hulu for a new animated series titled Solar Opposites.
While Rick and Morty won’t be back until next year, Roiland is still hard at work on a brand new series titled Solar Opposites. The show is set to follow an alien family “from a better world” who find themselves in America. Roiland will also be voicing two of the characters from the series along with Sean Giambrone and Mary Mack.
The Hollywood Reporter has also revealed that Hulu has ordered two seasons of the show consisting of 16 episodes. Rick and Morty producer Mike McMahan is also tied to the project.
We’re unsure how far along Solar Opposites is in terms of production, but the show is expected to debut in 2020.
As for Rick and Morty, the show has recently been renewed for 70 additional episodes by Adult Swim, putting the show in line for seven more seasons.
