Publisher Modus Games has today announced the upcoming Closed Beta for Override: Mech City Brawl which will be taking place on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this weekend.
Beginning August 10 through to August 12 players will be able to flatten towering cities as they take their mechs to the skies – or ground – to battle against other mechs in this fast-paced mech brawler. I mean, what could be better than getting your fish-luchador hybrid bot to smash through buildings to take down the lizard mech, MetaGeckon? Literally nothing.
The beta is set to feature 12 of the game’s mechs, each of which has their own fighting styles. Players will also be able to experience some of the maps based on real-world locations including Tokyo, Egypt, San Francisco, and Mexico.
Override: Mech City Brawl‘s beta will also include a taste of the game’s single-player campaign, as well as the online Versus & co-op mode. There’s also local multiplayer which can feature up to four players taking control of a single part of one of the game’s mechs.
Finally, the game’s Garage will be open giving players a glimpse at the game’s customization mode to really stand out from the debris.
Players can sign up to the Override: Mech City Brawl beta via the game’s website for a chance to become a part of the early playtest.
Pre-orders for Override: Mech City Brawl are also open for both the Standard Edition and the game’s Super Charged Mega Edition which offers the Season Pass that’ll grant players four extra mechs, new skins, as well as Legendary Skins which are normally unlocked in the main game.
There’s also a flashy new trailer announcing the news, which you can see below:
