To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Hasbro has announced a brand new line of toys in line with the second season of the show.
Following the acquisition of the Power Rangers IP by Hasbro, many have been excited to see what the toy company will bring to the table and at Power Morphcon 6, they certainly didn’t disappoint.
Hasbro unveiled the Power Rangers Lightning Collection, a new line of Power Rangers figures based on Season 2 of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. The first figure shown off was, of course, The White Ranger, which will be available at most major retailers in the US in Spring of next year.
Other figures are to be announced soon and will ultimately be replacing Bandai’s Legacy collection. Different Rangers and Villains will also be coming to this line over the coming years.
The White Ranger will be the first figure to launch and will be 6-inches in size. It’ll cost $19.99 and, according to Hasbro, is “the most show-authentic Power Rangers figures ever”. It’ll have 27 points of articulation as well as swappable “photo real” actor likenesses included. There are also “optional” special effects pieces included.
