Rockstar Games debuted the first gameplay video for Red Dead Redemption 2 and honestly, I’m beginning to see the hype.
Having not really shared that much interest in the first game I’ve been less than enthused about Red Dead Redemption 2, but this week’s gameplay debut might have changed my mind.
The six-minute trailer isn’t your usual gameplay trailer, while we get to see the game in action, it’s accompanied by a voiceover which goes into detail about what the game involves and how the player will interact with different parts of the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will have players taking the role of Arthur Morgan, a “trusted senior gun” in the Van Der Linde Gang, a group of outlaws and outcasts who just can’t quite escape the modern world. In the game, players will, of course, have the usual Rockstar-style missions, but they’ll also be required to manage their outlaw camp, getting to know each of the gang members which in turn will help players progress and expand the gameplay.
In addition, players’ horses won’t just be disposable transport anymore as bonds between the player and their horse will help with controlling the majestic animal. Plus, different horses will be required for different tasks.
Check out the gameplay trailer below, trust me, it’ll change your mind.
