Palm Pioneer and publisher Zodiac Interactive have this week launched the Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming point-and-click detective game, Tales of the Neon Sea.
Tales of the Neon Sea is an upcoming pixel art cyberpunk point-and-click detective adventure game which tells a tale of tensions boiling beneath the surface between humans and robots who live together in this world. The game takes heavy inspiration from sci-fi classics such as Blade Runner, which you might already be able to tell from the game’s images, etc.
In the game, players take the role of a “hard-boiled detective” and will use their puzzle solving skills to determine the outcome of the story which sees our protagonist become embroiled in a missing person’s case which may ultimately lead to tracking down a feared killer.
While the plot is fairly vague, the game itself looks stunning with its “neon sea” becoming the main attraction. Currently, the developers are looking to raise around NZ$15,000 to make the game a reality. Pledges begin from NZ$18 which will bag players a copy of the game.
