Nintendo has announced that the re-release of The World Ends With You is expected to land on Nintendo Switch on October 12.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix will take the decade-old DS action game and bring it to the 21st century on Nintendo’s latest device, the Switch. The game will come with new features to boot including HD visuals and exclusive content including a remixed soundtrack and an additional scenario.

It’ll also make the most of the Switch JoyCon’s too as players will be able to have a friend join them in co-op. The game will also offer both JoyCon and touchscreen controls.

The World Ends With You launched on the DS back in 2007 and threw players into the heart of Tokyo’s Shibuya district. The game has players take the role of Neku who, over the course of three in-game weeks, paired with three different partners, is tasked to complete missions in an effort to get back to the land of the living.
