NBC Universal has announced that it’s ordered an additional five episodes for the sixth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Following the news that NBC had picked up Brooklyn Nine-Nine after its cancellation at FOX many were left bitterly sweet about the idea that the show would be coming back but with less episodes. Now, however, it seems NBC has had a change of heart and has ordered an additional five episodes.
Add this to the original 13 episodes ordered for Season 6 and you’ve got 18! That’s not quite the 20-something episode seasons we’re used to, but it’s better than nothing, right? NBC has also confirmed that the new season will be making its debut during the 2018-2019 mid-season schedule.
The upcoming series will be revisiting themes from previous episodes such as Captain Holt finding out if he’s going to be police commissioner, as well as Jake and Amy’s honeymoon.
