Shu Takumi’s groundbreaking trio of judicial games, The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, will be re-released once again, this time looking better than ever and as one bundled package. The great thing about this release is that the character models are clearly the original illustrations the Game Boy Advance sprites where based on, this gives the entire proceedings a familiar yet contemporary appearance.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and for Nintendo DS in 2005, PC in 2008, and the Wii and iOS in 2009. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Justice for All was originally released in 2002 and then Nintendo DS in 2006, PC in 2008, and the Wii in 2010. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Trials and Tribulations is the third entry in the trilogy, originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004; later being released for PC in 2006, the Nintendo DS in 2007, and the Wii in 2010. With all previous releases using the same assets, this is a must buy for fans of the courtroom series!
Takumi San had always intended the first three games to be a complete trilogy but due to the success of the series has had many more entries, an animated series, and a live action movie have since been created. Phoenix Wright has gone on to become a video game icon in his own right appearing in Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, Project X Zone 2, Robot Chicken and numerous other crossover games… but still no word on Smash!
The Judge has ruled that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2019. You are ordered to check out the trailer below and stay confined to n3rdabl3 until our next hearing!
