Halo Infinite is the latest entry to the Halo franchise announced at E3 this year, and while we don’t have much more than a trailer, we can tell you one thing, it will not include Loot Boxes.
Loot Boxes are a hot topic within the gaming industry, especially since the controversy around EA’s title, Star Wars: Battlefront II. Thankfully, Chris Lee, studio head FPS for 343 Industries, has recently responded to a fan via Twitter, taking the time to put the fan at ease over the potential for Loot Boxes in Halo Infinite.
Keep the faith, it's appreciated! We’re still working through final plans and will share more when we are ready, but I can definitely say that Halo Infinite will not include real-money loot boxes.

While this doesn’t rule out the possibility for paid cosmetics, the lack of Loot Boxes is sure to set a portion of the fan base at ease regarding the future of the franchise. Now we’ll just wait and see how the multiplayer come out. Hopefully, the focus on the Halo Championship Series is going to mean a more competitive release.
We don’t have a release date for Halo Infinite, but we’re likely to hear more around E3 2019. Let’s keep our eyes peeled.
