New World Interactive has announced that their upcoming shooter, Insurgency: Sandstorm will now be launching on December 12.
Originally set for a September 18 release, following the feedback from a handful of the game’s pre-order betas has resulted in the game being delayed by almost two months. This added time will allow New World Interactive to polish the game and further realize its potential.
It seems that while Insurgency: Sandstorm offers high-quality core gameplay, there are certain aspects players were finding which could be improved such as more polished content and higher performance on PC. More details on these improvements can be found over on New World Interactive’s website.
The developer has announced that the on-going Pre-order Beta will be extended allowing more players to get involved and support the game up until release. Pre-orders and the 10% discount will still be available up until December 12. Beta access will also be granted with pre-orders.
The additional 10% loyalty discount for owners of the original Insurgency will now be extended until the end of March.
