Paul Rustchynsky has announced that he’s joined Project CARS developer, Slightly Mad Studios, following his departure from Codemasters.
Old Rustchynsky has been through a lot as of late. First, Sony shutters his former studio Evolution Studios following the dismal launch of DriveClub, then Codemasters picks up the studio and folds it within Codemasters for the launch of ONRUSH. Unfortunately, it seems things didn’t go too well there either as Codemasters let go a number of staffers including Rustchynsky.
Now, he’s back announcing that he’s the new game director at Project CARS developer Slightly Mad Studios. In the very same tweet, he teased an unannounced project.
Today is the beginning of my new adventure at Slightly Mad Studios!

Having released Project CARS 2 back in September 2017, the studio has remained pretty quiet in terms of new releases, so it would seem fitting that they’re working on something new.
Another sequel may not be out of the question, however traditionally, Slightly Mad has a tendency to launch the game via crowdfunding on their own website, something which hasn’t happened as yet.
We’ll keep you posted when we have more information.
