It seems Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Could be making a move towards the Sony brand if a Korean rating board slip-up is to be believed.
PUBG could well be making a move towards Fortnite levels of platform saturation if a Korean rating board slip-up is correct. The since-removed article had a listing for PUBG on PlayStation 4. The slip-up was posted by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea.
Of course, PUBG is currently exclusive to PC and Xbox One (With a dabble into the mobile market also) but with the anniversary of its Xbox release approaching, it’s understandable that the exclusivity clause could well be nearing its climax. PUBG Corp has said before that they wanted to ensure the Xbox One version was caught up to PC before any other platforms, and with the title now hitting 1.0 on Xbox, coupled with the ‘Fix PUBG’ Initiative, we COULD be nearing that point.
PUBG hitting PlayStation would go some way towards closing the gap to its biggest rival, Fortnite. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode set for release also, it’s quickly becoming do or die for the title that arguably started this whole Battle Royale craze.
